Richard Berry is Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Prior to August 21, 2006, he was the Dean of the College of Fine Arts.
Ric holds the bachelor's and master's degree in music from Stephen F. Austin State University, and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
As Provost, he is involved in all aspect of the academic division of the university. He is particularly interested in enhancing excellence in instruction and the development of interdisciplinary programs.
Dr. Berry is a tenor and continues to perform occasionally. He teaches courses in voice pedagogy in the School of Music at SFA.
